The plan will be implented through the following key strtegies among others:-
- Networking and collaboration at local and international levels with other women agencies,
- Policy skills training,
- Civic education,
- National seminars and workshops,
- Capacity building workshos and seminars
- Dissemination of research based rightly packed information on women affairs NCWK will undertake the following core activities among others in the next five years;
- Strengthen institutional capacity of NCWK through:-
- Strategic Recruitment of membership
- Capacity building for executive committee, affiliates and district coodinators
- Strngthen the secretariat at all levels
- Strengthening the Standing Committees
- Establishing information centers in the districts
- Empowering and building capacity of the affiliate members of NCWK
- Establish & equip a resource centers at NCWK and District branches by 2005
- Establish fully equiped publishing department
- Design an appropriate organization structure and operation manuals/systems and performance management system
- Relocate the office to more appropriate location Recruitment of core staff for the secretariate as per the strategic staff plan
- Install an ICT system among others
- Hold stakeholders workshop on re-imaging and re-branding of NCWK, develop branded artifacts and improve publicity through NCWK's 40 years celebration in each district.
- Systematic engendering of governance and political parties policies, structures and mechanisms
- Baseline survey and development of a data bank of women leadrs and potential women leaders.
- Lobby and advocate for increased women representation i8n decision making odies to 50%
- develop a fundraising and optimal resource utilization strategy "establishment of Women's Bank.
- Establish Day care centers to support working mothers
- Sensitization by NGOs on the rights of the girl-child education.
